Private donations, sponsors and the charity concert revenues from this year have covered the following:
- The children received lessons of traditional dance of Sri Lanka
- We bought the families 24 large mattresses and 24 mosquito nets
- 1 600 kg of rice was purchased: 50 kg for every family
- 76 pieces of clay ovens were bought: two ovens for every family
- We were be able to help five women and children with medical treatment costs: two women could have surgery
- We have contributed to financing the construction of two kitchens
There were 41 girls sponsored by families in 2012. Every girl received school supplies
(school uniform, shoes, backpacks, books) and instruction in English,
Sinhala and mathematics.
